Professional Door Association Of New England Mission Statement

The Professional Door Association of New England’s mission is to support dealers in growing their businesses through education, sharing best practices, networking, and increasing professionalism within the garage door industry.

“Thank you for your interest in the Professional Door Association of New England. In 2008, I had the privilege of serving on the International Door Association committee and the Affiliate subcommittee. At that time, many regions that represented the IDA had an affiliate organization that served the local dealer. However, New England, which represented Region 1, did not have one. Soon after, I decided to meet with Joe Chisholm–who had served on the IDA board before me–to discuss beginning our own New England affiliate. We formed a group of dealers and industry companies that were interested in starting an association. Our goal was to create a local association that would become the bridge between the local Dealer and the International Door Association. In this way, we could raise the level of professionalism within our industry through educational workshops and trade shows.

Over a decade later, we have created a community of over 150 members. We currently have 14 board members made up of dealers and manufacturers that represent the New England area and beyond, five of which have been involved since the beginning. In 2009, we officially became a 501C3 non-profit association. In 2011, we held our first trade show and have been hosting a trade show every two years since then. In the alternate years, we hold two workshop events coupled with a fun activity. Please consider becoming a member of this association to help support these events that are beneficial to your company and our industry. Let us know if we can answer any questions you may have about our association or upcoming events.”
